Official version of Mozilla Firefox 1.5 out yesterday. I’ve been trying to get the Sage RSS feed reader working effectively but to minimal avail. I also added the medical dictionary search engine. I couldn’t believe they had it since it’s a relatively obscure, but comprehensive website.

you have to admit that explorer’s load time is amazing (because of its integration with the OS). firefox is getting a little better. and now virii and worms affect firefox almost as well as they do explorer. firefox is good for a couple things over explorer and that’s why i use both 1) tabbed browsing (which isn’t even unique to firefox) and 2) the multi-search engine field.
there was a period of 5 months where i couldn’t even use firefox on my computer (even after completely deleting and reinstalling it - they really hide their user profiles) because of a firefox bug. i finally found a place online where i had to manually fix the problem.

adblock is like god’s gift to earth.
it doesn’t currently work with fireox 1.5, but you can use Adblock Plus instead.

Yeah, I was going to add that it doesn’t seem to be working yet in 1.5… sad. But it’s an absolute neccessity. I can’t stand using other people’s computers now.
It allows you block content with wildcards, so if you block */banners/* and */ads/* and *.doubleclick.* and enough similar directories and hosts, you’ll almost never see anohter ad.
The web is so snazzy without ads.
